Engagement Party Table Centerpiece
When my sister got engaged and decided to host a party, she knew it would have to be done on a budget. She wanted a special centerpiece to put at every table, and decided to save money by making them herself (with our help). The design and creative work was a collaborative effort of myself, my sister, and our mom. The first thing she found were the oversized "diamond rings" and we designed around that. We found some unfinished boxes that we could paint the colors of her choice, then lined it with satin fabric and added the "diamond ring". We finally fitted the box with a small floral light which was positioned to shine on the diamond. The effect was spectacular! The diamond reflected the light and the whole centerpiece sparkled! The room was filled with these sparkling centerpieces and it had the glamorous, expensive look without the price!

Candy Corn Halloween Costume
When my son decided that he wanted to be a candy corn for Halloween, I knew that I'd have to make the costume at home. I took a trip to my local craft store and bought the appropriate colored felt. After some measuring, cutting, and sewing, I had my creation!
Custom Wedding Guest Book
This is a guestbook that I custom made for my sister's wedding. The first thing I did was pick out the same color fabric and materials in the theme colors of the wedding. Then, I hand embroidered the lettering on the fabric before using it to cover a plain white guestbook. I sewed the cover and secured it with hot glue. I lined the inside covers with a matching cardstock and added the lace and rhinestones. I also attached a matching ribbon as a page marker. In the end, I had a completely custom design that matched her wedding theme much better than anything we could find in stores.
Strawberry Shortcake Trick or Treat Basket
Here is a picture of a trick or treat basket that I made for my friend's daughter. She was dressed as Strawberry Shortcake for Halloween. The leaves and seeds are all cut free hand. And of course, it is mostly made of FELT!
